The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel remains at least two years away, according to journalist Jason Schreier. His latest comment on social media reiterates that the game is not close to release, despite its recent re-reveal.
Schreier’s estimate is consistent with his remarks in July, when he said the RPG was playable but still at least two to three years from release. Bethesda chief Todd Howard also cautioned in February that the project would take time, even as he said development had passed a major milestone and was “coming together.”
The game’s timeline has also drawn attention following reports that more than 50 people working on Sentinel were laid off. The reports raised concerns about development, though the available information does not establish whether those cuts have changed the schedule.
First announced in 2018 with a brief teaser, The Elder Scrolls 6 has yet to receive a release date. Schreier’s latest update indicates that players should not expect it to arrive within the next two years.
