Bethesda has revealed that its next open-world RPG is titled The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel. The subtitle was announced during celebrations marking the developer’s 40th anniversary, in a short trailer at the end of a new video.
The teaser shows sand blowing across an Elder Scroll before displaying a quote attributed to Yazar, a Moth Priest serving High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell: “The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate.”
The reveal points to Sentinel, a capital city and kingdom in Hammerfell, the homeland of the Redguards, as the game’s setting. Bethesda has not shared when it will reveal more, saying it will be “some time before we’re ready to share more.”
