PlayStation Store is marking 20 years as a digital home for PlayStation games with a selection of seven titles made by Spanish studios. The list ranges from indie adventures and narrative experiences to multiplayer action, with several games also included in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game catalogues, according to PlayStation’s anniversary feature.

Moonlighter, released for PS4 in 2018, blends roguelite combat and dungeon exploration with running a shop in the village of Rynoka. Developed by Valencia-based Digital Sun Games, it follows Will, a merchant who dreams of becoming a hero. PlayStation’s feature also notes that the game’s sequel, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, is available on the store and in the Extra and Premium catalogues.

Barcelona studio Herobeat Studios developed Endling: Extinction is Forever, a PS5 and PS4 survival adventure released in 2022. Players guide the last mother fox on Earth as she protects her three cubs in an environment threatened by human activity. The game won a BAFTA, and Herobeat is working on Wilderings: The Lost Spring, the feature says.

Temtem, from Madrid-based Crema, brought creature collecting into a multiplayer setting when it arrived on PS5 in 2020. Its turn-based battles pit teams of two against two, while players explore the Airborne Archipelago, catch creatures and compete with other tamers. Crema is also developing Temtem: Pioneers, described as a new entry in the franchise.

Friends vs Friends is a first-person shooter from Madrid’s Brainwash Gang, released for PS5 in 2025. Its quick one-on-one and two-on-two matches combine arena combat with deck-building: cards can provide weapons, trigger unusual effects or change the rules during a round.

Valencia’s Chibig, working with Nukefist, made Mika and the Witch’s Mountain for PS5 and PS4. The 2025 adventure follows Mika, a young witch who delivers parcels by broom to the inhabitants of an island as she tries to return to the mountain’s summit. The game has no combat and focuses on exploration, flight and community. PlayStation’s feature describes it as the most-funded Spanish game in Kickstarter history, with its campaign raising more than one million dollars.

Inner Ashes, released for PS5 and PS4 in 2023, is a first-person narrative adventure from Madrid-based Calathea Game Studio. It follows Henry, a forest ranger with early-onset Alzheimer’s, as he explores his own mind and tries to understand why his daughter Enid has become distant. The game uses puzzles and symbolism to address the effects of the disease.

The final selection is Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, a 2025 PS5 and PS4 game developed by Seville’s The Game Kitchen and published by Dotemu in collaboration with Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo. This side-scrolling entry in the series pairs pixel-art visuals with modern combat. Players take control of young ninja Kenji Mozu as he faces a threat to his village while Ryu Hayabusa is away. The game is also included in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogues.
