No More Heroes creator Goichi Suda, also known as Suda51, has offered fans a new indication that the series will receive attention for its 20th anniversary in 2027.

Speaking with Famitsu, Suda said Grasshopper Manufacture and publisher Marvelous are planning something for the occasion. The interview did not reveal whether the project will be a new game, a re-release or another type of celebration.

“Marvelous is aware of this, so we definitely want to do something together for the 20th anniversary,” Suda said in a machine-translated quotation. “We’re planning to deliver something special, so please look forward to it. Travis Touchdown will definitely be back!”

The original No More Heroes launched in Japan in December 2007 before reaching Western markets in 2008. The series’ most recent entry is No More Heroes 3, which arrived on PS5 and PS4 in 2022.

Suda did not provide further information about the anniversary plans, leaving the return of Travis Touchdown as the main confirmed detail for now.
