Sony has recommitted to its China Hero Project, which is now in its fourth phase, and is providing a further $1 million in investment to several upcoming games. The funding includes EXILEDGE, DaBa: Land of Water Scar and Unending Dawn, according to Shenzhen-based journalist Daniel Camilo, who reported the announcement on X after a press conference in Shanghai.

Sony describes DaBa: Land of Water Scar as a Souls-like action adventure about a humanoid puppet exploring the ancient city of Guge as an apocalypse approaches. EXILEDGE is a third-person shooter set on an apocalyptic planet, while Unending Dawn is a multiplayer open-world action game about survivors facing cursed creatures after a catastrophe.

The games may also launch on PC. Sony’s support includes promotion and access to a global audience in exchange for temporary console exclusivity.

Camilo reported that DaBa: Land of Water Scar is due in spring 2027, though no official release date has been confirmed. EXILEDGE is expected later in the year. Other games associated with the project include Loulan: The Cursed Sand and The God Slayer.
