Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds begins its official second year on November 3, 2026, with the release of update 2.0.0 and a new Godzilla-themed DLC pack. Sega’s update brings new features, gameplay adjustments and fixes to the kart racer.
The update adds Duel mode, a one-on-one race that can be played competitively or casually against other players or CPU drivers. It also introduces 15 gadgets and a Grand Master Plate with a super slot that amplifies the gadget placed in it. SEGA has made balance adjustments to PvP modes and expanded World Match with Ranked Match for online competition and Free Match for casual play. Results in Free Match do not affect a player’s rank.
Weekly Play missions reward players for completing specific objectives. The update also adds SEGA Fighting Beats Infinity, featuring music from various SEGA fighting games, alongside other improvements and bug fixes. Festivals will now run for 10 days instead of three, and winning streaks will be preserved even if a team finishes second.
The first DLC pack of Year Two brings Godzilla to the game. It includes the Godzilla Escape course, the Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf machines, plus additional Jukebox tracks and sounds. The pack is available through Season Pass Two or as a standalone purchase. Official patch notes were not yet available when the source article was published.
