Bend Studio, the PlayStation first-party developer behind Days Gone, could announce and potentially release its next game in 2027, according to a report from MP1st.

The outlet claims the project is already much further into development than previously believed. It reportedly features a third-person perspective and co-op elements, while not being designed as a live-service game.

MP1st also reports that the title will not be a sequel to Days Gone. Previous reports said Bend Studio had pitched Days Gone 2 to Sony after the original game, but the proposal was rejected. The studio later worked on a Game as a Service project, which was cancelled at the beginning of last year.

According to the latest report, Bend Studio is preparing to reveal and launch its current project next year. If accurate, the game would join several other Sony titles reportedly planned for 2027, including Until Dawn 2, God of War Laufey and potentially Intergalactic.

The information remains unconfirmed. MP1st has also previously reported on other unannounced PlayStation projects, including a possible Killzone title and a project associated with Media Molecule.
