October brought a packed schedule of new PS5 games, following an equally busy September. Push Square is asking readers to choose its Game of the Month, with several high-profile releases competing for the title.
Phantom Blade Zero arrived on October 29 as a PS5 console exclusive. The Chinese action game received strong review scores and appears to have found an audience among genre fans. Other notable releases included Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, whose campaign was described by many as one of the series’ best in years, and Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, which returned Konami’s franchise.
The poll also features Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Final Fantasy Resonance and Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. Push Square highlighted the first as a well-received racing game, Final Fantasy Resonance for its return to traditional JRPG roots, and Ace Combat 8 for its strong reviews and engaging gameplay. Stupid Never Dies and Hellraiser: Revival also feature, despite receiving a more mixed response from critics.
Voting closes on November 5, 2026, at 00:00 BST. Readers can cast a vote and explain their choice in the comments section.
