PlayStation has announced the Prism collection, a range of transparent accessories for PS5 featuring matching DualSense wireless controllers and console covers in three colors: Flame Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Grey. The designs use a glossy finish and are intended to show off the hardware beneath the transparent surfaces.
PlayStation says the collection takes inspiration from the transparent controller trend of the late 1990s, updated to complement PS5’s design. Designer Leo Cardoso said the team wanted to bring back that look with a modern touch. Satoshi Aoyagi described the controllers’ transparent, glossy rear and metallic center panel, as well as the distinct finishes and colors used across the range.
Prism DualSense controllers will be available worldwide for a recommended retail price of €84.99. Matching PS5 covers will cost €74.99 and will be sold directly through PlayStation in supported regions; availability through selected retailers will be limited in other regions. Prices and availability may vary by retailer.
The collection is scheduled to launch on February 4, 2027, with pre-orders opening November 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. local time through PlayStation and participating retailers. In the United States, reservations through direct.playstation.com will open at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET. PlayStation’s direct store will also take pre-orders from 10 a.m. local time in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
