Santa Monica Studio has delayed God of War Laufey by just over three months. The PS5-exclusive action game, previously scheduled to launch on February 16, 2027, will now arrive on May 20, 2027.
In a social media statement, the studio thanked players for their enthusiasm since the game was revealed in June and said it did not take their trust for granted. Santa Monica Studio added that it would use the additional time to put the finishing touches on the game and push it to its fullest potential.
God of War Laufey follows Faye, Kratos’ late wife, on a journey through the afterlife. The game was announced in June this year.
