Borderlands has surpassed 100 million copies sold across its games and platforms, publisher 2K Games has announced. To mark the milestone, developer Gearbox is giving players 20 Golden Keys in each mainline entry: Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands 3, The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 4.
Players can claim the bonus using this Shift Code: CZKJJ-35RH6-T9K9C-9TJJT-SXRCT.
The series began on PS3 in 2009 and has since grown to include five main games and numerous spin-offs. Its distinctive cel-shaded visuals, humour and cooperative looting and shooting helped it stand out.
Gearbox has also said it is working on more Borderlands 4 content for next year. Weekly Activity refreshes and Community Challenges will continue in the meantime, according to the studio.
